Mobile phones have become an integral part of our lives. According to Comscore, mobile usage overtook that of the desktop way back in 2014. Increased mobile usage has also led to the greater use of apps, websites, and software for mobiles. As per Statista, presently, there are over 2.5 billion Android apps and nearly 1.9 billion iOS apps available. The increase in mobile traffic has made mobile UX (user experience) one of the most important factors for the success of an app or a website.
The use of mobile phones is more than a desktop these days, and thus, designing attractive, and user-friendly apps and websites as per the mobile interface is more important. User’s understanding is always less on a mobile device, which means that content, navigation, and other visual design elements on the website or an app must be kept simple and interactive than that of the desktop version. Users generally dislike complicated applications with complex navigations and design, which leads to poor usability. So, for optimal mobile app designing, a designer must focus on the users’ needs for their better experience.
Due to this reason, mobile designers face huge challenges while trying to create a unique application that gets noticed among the audience. The designers have to work more precisely to fit the required information on a much smaller mobile screen. It’s the better user experience feature that makes downloading the app more worthwhile. Therefore, a designer should focus on better UX practices while designing an app or the website for the mobile version.
